CThe aim of this presentation is to introduce the holdings of the Oral History Archive of the “Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Centre in Lublin, collected since 1998. I will analyse audiovisual testimonies that contain references to the Holocaust in Lublin and the Lublin region. The central question concerns the ways in which, several decades after the tragic events, narratives about the fate of the region’s Jewish community are constructed. The lecture will also offer an assessment of the potential of these testimonies to enrich current knowledge about the Holocaust.
